MEDLINE

Medline is the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) premier bibliographic database in medicine and related sciences. It is a basic source of scientific medical information. Medline contains over 21 million references from over 5,000 journals in medicine and biomedicine published in the USA and 80 other countries.
The database is available within software at the following platforms: OvidSP, Web of Science, EbscoHOST and within PubMed – created and administered directly by NLM. It also offers bibliographic descriptions of articles which are about to be published in Medline or were submitted electronically by publishers. Users not only may see the bibliographic description but also may be linked to the full-text article of an e-journal. Medline is updated once a week.
Medline is in subscription and is accessible via PUMS' computer network but access to PubMed is free of charge and possible from any computer connected to the Internet.
