MeSH 2006



The Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) is a controlled vocabulary produced by the National Library of Medicine of USA and used for indexing, cataloging and searching for biomedical and health-related information and documents. Authorized MeSH is annual updated and provided with an adequate name of the version. Each updating includes hundreds of new medical descriptors and thousands of descriptor modifications. The 2006 issue includes: 23885 main descriptors, 534981 developed descriptors and 155951 chemical headings (Supplementary Concept Records).
"The Medical Subject Headings MeSH 2006 - Polish-English version" is enriched by Polish equivalents of original descriptors.
